Indaba Media Capital

> Indaba Media Capital Executive Produced the feature film Santa Hunters for Nickelodeon

> Developed family film & television content, including feature films The White Giraffe and Freaps.

> Built a business plan to raise $60 million in slate financing for family films and television content.

> Raised $20 million when my partner and investor Chris Dotson passed from pancreatic cancer.

In November of 2012 I formed Indaba Media Capital with two good friends Chris Dotson and Reed Frerichs to raise money to create family content. Indaba means “important story” in Zulu and it spoke to our fundamental desire to create positive content.

The earliest result was the Nickelodeon film Santa Hunters and the second a feature film called The White Giraffe was still in development when Chris passed away from cancer.

It was devastating for all of of us and there is not a day that goes by without me thinking of him.

Original family entertainment proved to be very challenging and unfortunately a series of personal events required me to leave Los Angeles and ultimately step away from Indaba.

Life takes you down a twisted road.  Some days you are the wind shield, somedays the bug.

Chris was one of the most giving happy humans I have ever met.  He inspires my every thought.  Life is short – make good happen while you can.
